FAQs
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel within 48 hours of the start of your appointment, or if you no show, you will be charged for the full amount of your session, regardless of the reason for cancellation (ex. illness, injury, bad weather, transportation problems, childcare issues, etc.) unless I can fill the spot. When you schedule an appointment I agree to hold that spot for you, and in turn you agree to pay me for that time. If you can't make it you may send someone in your place.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes. Click here to purchase an electronic or physical gift certificate.
Can you teach my partner/friend to work on my problem areas?
Yes. I teach partners/pairs how to easily and effectively help each other. Get more information on the Instruction page or click here to schedule.
What length of session should I book?
As much as you can. Think of a one-hour session for one problem area, and longer sessions for more problem areas and/or a full body treatment.
This is my first Thai massage. What should I expect?
Thai bodywork is done on a comfortable mat on the floor with the recipient fully clothed. You can expect to be moved around more than typical table massages. Your therapist will utilize gravity and body weight, using hands, elbows, knees and feet.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing, like athletic wear, that stretches. Avoid jeans, skirts, and hoodies. If you run cold make sure to have long sleeves and socks.
How early should I arrive?
I will be ready to let you in 5 minutes before your appointment begins.
What form of payments do you take?
Cash, checks, credit cards, Venmo and PayPal.
Do you sell packages?
Yes, and each package offering provides a significant discount over the price of the individual sessions. To purchase a package online using a credit card at the standard rate you can find that in the options when you are scheduling. Additionally, to reduce transaction costs, an even lower rate is available when paying with cash for all packages and individual sessions (do that in person at your next appointment).
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Besides the package discount, a reduced rate is available for clients who pay in cash at the time of service to help offset processing fees.
Do you offer reduced-cost bodywork for low income folks?
I want my bodywork to be accessible to anyone who needs it. If you are unable to afford my discounted cash rate, please email me to discuss what will work for you. I will not ask for proof of income but I do ask that only those who are financially disadvantaged utilize this offer.
Is Thai massage like yoga being done to you?
There is a wide variation in practice styles amongst Thai massage therapists. I prefer to hyperfocus on problem areas by utilizing techniques such as compression, trigger point therapy, sen work, pin and stretch, range of motion, stretching, traction, active release technique, scraping and/or cupping, in addition to stretching when needed. My personal style is embodied in my business tagline "hurts so good and helps so much".
I've had pain/limitations for a long time. Can you help?
It's very likely based on my track record, but of course I can't guarantee it. I have helped many people who have been living with ongoing issues in their bodies in a relatively short amount of time. It is not uncommon for me to hear from clients who feel a huge amount of relief after just one session.
Is Thai massage always done on a mat on the floor?
No,Thai bodywork doesn't have to be done on the floor to be true Thai massage. I have personally received an amazing Thai massage on a table in Thailand, and some LMTs who work on a table incorporate Thai techniques into their massages. Traditionally, Thai bodywork is most often done on a mat on the floor, which is how I exclusively practice it.
Is Thai massage hard on the therapist?
I love to assure clients that doing Thai massage is NOT hard on me. In fact, it requires very little exertion on my part and is actually beneficial for my body. Because we are working on the floor I am able to utilize body weight, gravity and leverage in order to obtain and sustain deep pressure with minimal effort. And because I am in many positions throughout a session, such as lunges, squats, kneeling, sitting, and leaning, my body gets the benefit of all that movement and repositioning.
Why do I have to enter my credit card information when scheduling? Will my card be charged?
I store credit card information on file in the event of a late cancellation that I cannot fill (please familiarize yourself with my cancellation policy). This is the only scenario that your card will be charged without you present. Your card will never be charged prior to your session. To pay for sessions in person you can choose to use the card on file or you can opt for the reduced cash rate I offer to help offset processing fees.
